What can I do with AI credits on my seedbox?

Your AI credits run tools that work on your seedbox for you, as well as plain chat. A few things to use them for:

Pikkumies: Pulsed Media's own helper for your seedbox

Pikkumies is the open-source AI helper Pulsed Media makes for its seedboxes. It lives in your own account, runs on your AI credits, and does the work instead of describing it. Ask it the way you would ask a colleague:

  • "What is eating my quota?" It measures your folders and biggest files, and deletes nothing until you approve.
  • "Which torrents are stalled, and why?" It lists them in rTorrent, qBittorrent or Deluge with what the tracker says about each.
  • "My containers vanished." It checks your Docker daemon and containers and tells you what stopped and why.
  • "Add this show to Sonarr and start the search." It talks to Sonarr, Radarr, Prowlarr and the other *arr apps directly.
  • "How do I set up Jellyfin here?" It starts from the Pulsed Media wiki guide and checks the steps against your account.

To start, connect to your seedbox over SSH and run ~/bin/install-pikkumies.sh. Then pikkumies doctor checks that your key and credits are found, and pikkumies starts a conversation. Some accounts with at least 1000 MiB of RAM have it installed already: if pikkumies doctor answers, skip the installer. It needs about 2 GB of disk quota and room for about 65,000 files; the Pikkumies on PMSS guide linked below says which plans have the room.

Pikkumies is new and can be wrong. It works with your account's rights and asks before deleting files or opening ports, so read what it proposes before you say yes.

The Pikkumies section of this knowledge base answers the common questions: What is Pikkumies?, installing it and fixing a failed install, reading pikkumies doctor and how it uses your AI credits. Step by step: Pikkumies on PMSS. To run it on a provider of your own: Configuring Pikkumies.

Let a coding assistant do the shell work

Type codex, claude or gemini in a shell on your seedbox. With your key in place they start on your credits. Ask them to write a script, sort and rename files, edit an app's config, read logs or work out why something stopped. See AI Coding Tools on PMSS.

An agent you reach from a browser or a chat app

OpenClaw keeps running between sessions inside your account. A first install with your key file in place sets it up on your credits.

Your own scripts and apps

Point any OpenAI-compatible library or chat app at https://virsilipas.mcx.fi/v1 with your key, from the seedbox or from your own computer. For example, a script that summarises a log file or drafts text for you.

Before you let an agent loose on your files, back up what you cannot replace. Agents work with your account's permissions.

What each plan earns: Pulsed Media AI Credits. More credits come with longer customer time and bigger plans: see the seedbox and storage box plans.
