I would like to use transmission, is this possible?

Transmission is not available on Pulsed Media shared seedboxes. This applies to all shared plans regardless of tier.

Available Torrent Clients

Shared seedboxes include three supported clients:

  • rTorrent/ruTorrent (default) — rTorrent runs as your own dedicated process. ruTorrent is the web interface, with 46+ plugins covering RSS automation, labeling, scheduling, and more.
  • qBittorrent — Available as a per-user option. Web UI included.
  • Deluge — Available on shared seedboxes. Also web-accessible.

For a side-by-side breakdown of how these clients compare, see rTorrent vs qBittorrent vs Deluge. For a full overview of the software stack on shared seedboxes, see What torrent software is available?

If You Need Transmission

If Transmission is a hard requirement, a dedicated server or VPS gives you full root access to install any software you choose, including Transmission. That path comes with full control but also full responsibility for configuration and maintenance.

For most use cases, rTorrent/ruTorrent or qBittorrent cover what Transmission users are looking for. If you are unsure which client fits your workflow, the comparison page is a good starting point.
