Everything Pikkumies keeps stays in your own seedbox account. This is what it keeps, what it sends, and how to change it.
What it keeps in your account
- Your conversations, so you can resume them. They are kept until you choose otherwise: the session history setting can prune ended sessions after a number of days.
- Lessons it saves when it learns something worth finding next time, and anything you ask it to remember.
- Performance logs, while performance logging is on (the default): records of its memory searches and lesson saves. They stay on this machine and are never sent.
- Downloaded documentation: copies of the Pulsed Media wiki, the knowledge base and app manuals, so it can search them quickly.
What it sends
Your questions and what the agent needs to answer them go to the AI endpoint your key belongs to; that is how it thinks. Nothing from your account goes anywhere else unless you ask it to. On its own it only downloads: its daily update and the documentation pages it searches. The telemetry setting is a setting only: nothing is sent.
Changing the settings
Ask Pikkumies to show its settings, for example "show me your settings", and to change the ones you want. It can change:
- its name;
- performance logging (turning it off stops new records; files already written stay until you delete them);
- telemetry;
- how many days of session history to keep.
The settings file is ~/pikkumies/local/config.php. Other settings, like the model or your own AI provider, are yours to edit there: see Configuring Pikkumies.
