Your seedbox or storage box has one password for everything: the web panel, SSH, SFTP and FTP.
Get a new password
- Log in and open Services → My Services, then click your service.
- Click Generate new password and confirm.
Your service gets a new random password of letters and digits. It starts working within a few minutes, and the service page shows it at once under Show password. We also email the new login details to your account email address, unless product emails are turned off in your email preferences.
The old password stops working everywhere: web panel, SSH, SFTP, FTP and your torrent client logins. Update the copy saved in your FTP, SFTP or other apps.
We only ever set random passwords, because they are much harder to guess than hand-picked ones. You can generate a new one once every 10 minutes. If the button is missing or the change fails, open a support ticket from your registered email address and we will set one for you.
See your current password
- Log in and open Services → My Services, then click your service.
- Click Show password.
Want it in your inbox instead? Resend seedbox details on the same page emails your login details again, once per hour.
Logged in as a user on someone else's account? You see the password and these buttons only if the account owner gave you the View & Modify Product Passwords permission. More on where your login details live: Where do I find my seedbox login details?
