Your referral link does not have to drop people on our front page. You can point it straight at the plan you are recommending, and your commission tracking works exactly the same.
Your link lives in your Client Area under Affiliates, and looks like this:
https://pulsedmedia.com/clients/aff.php?aff=YOURNUMBER
On its own it sets your tracking cookie and sends the visitor to the Pulsed Media front page. Adding one parameter to the end changes where they land.
Send someone straight to a plan
Add &pid= followed by the plan's product number:
https://pulsedmedia.com/clients/aff.php?aff=YOURNUMBER&pid=197
That opens the order form for that plan with it already in the cart, so the visitor sees the thing you told them about rather than a catalog they have to search. The number 197 above is only an example: use the number of whichever plan you are recommending.
Finding a product number
Every product number is published in our public catalog feed at https://pulsedmedia.com/data/v1/products.json. Find the plan by name and use its id value. If the plan you want shows "id": 197, then &pid=197 is the parameter you want. The feed needs no account and no key, and it is described in Does Pulsed Media offer public data feeds or an open API?
Other destinations
&gid=NUMBERopens the store page for a whole category rather than a single plan. Category numbers are not in the feed, so ask us which number covers the category you want.®ister=trueopens the signup form, for someone creating an account before they order.
Tracking works the same wherever they land
The cookie is set the moment someone clicks your link, before they arrive anywhere. It lasts 90 days, so a visitor who looks now and orders in a month is still your referral. Copy your affiliate number exactly as it appears in your Client Area. A wrong number still sets a cookie, it simply credits nobody, and there is no error message to warn you. Paste it rather than typing it, and click your own finished link once to check it lands where you expect.
What these parameters cannot do
They only reach pages inside our billing system: a plan, a category, or the signup form. A blog post, a wiki page or one of our marketing pages cannot be a referral landing page, and there is no parameter for an arbitrary address.
Adding ?aff= to the end of any other page on our site does nothing at all. No cookie is set, so an order that follows is not credited to you. If you want to share an article as well, share it as an ordinary link and keep your referral link for the part where someone orders.
