VPS changes

Due to provider woes, the VPS offerings are to be changed. Preorders will be delivered as promised, with promised specs.

We were originally about to go with 100Tb/Midphase, with a custom server and deal. Until it was time for order, replies stopped from Midphase all together. After weeks of trying to order, finally resorting to contacting 100Tb manager directly via a mutual friend we received reply "We cannot do that", and shortly after the sales rep also replied that cannot do unless we opt for 700$+ servers (with 12HDDs).

Well, the BW ratio to cost would not have worked, and those are way too expensive servers as first VPS nodes. 100Tb/Midphase essentially tried to sell us something different than promised. If i wouldn't have been particulate constantly about link speed & bw, they would have sold us half the link speed and BW promised under the pricing, WITH a premium to a public offering.

Needless to say, we aren't going to use 100Tb. Lying is not a way to get customers, essentially customers like us who will likely get quite a few nodes overtime.

Instead, we opted for a private DC located in Miami. The good news are: Dual L5320 CPUs and 16Gb RAM per node. 100Tb offered 4Gb ram and Xeon 3520 CPUs, so there is roughly 4 times the CPU power and 4 times the RAM. Along with larger HDDs (2Tb). Downside is no BW amounts like 100Tb, far from it.

So the VPS offering is going to be a premium service, meaning mirrored, redundant disk array, and targeted for regular VPS usage, such as webhosting. Otherwise it will be the same but less BW, more CPU & RAM. Plans will be changed shortly to reflect this change.

Availability is VERY limited as well, nodes are added sparsely and rarely, as we buy outright part of the hardware and it's a limited availability offering.

The preorder users are very lucky, as we are essentially giving these VPSs way under cost to them. We expect the first VPS node come online and ready to production by Wednesday.
