It's been decided that Super100 will be upgraded to 1Gbps downlink when we move to our own hardware.
The hardware will be "standard specification" Core i3/Xeon E3, 16G Ram. We will put more users per node, but provide vastly more disk I/O resources, we are thinking about 15 to 25 users depending upon the performance. As traffic limits are also introduced at this time, we believe there will be no performance issues. If there is, we will upgrade the SAN connection, SAN setup or do local cache disks.
