Väinämöinen with a keyboard in a server hall, beside the headline: client area back after a DDoS attack on 6 November

Your seedboxes and storage boxes kept running, your data was never touched, and the client area has worked normally since 21:00 UTC on 6 November.

On the evening of 6 November a denial-of-service attack flooded our website from about 4,400 addresses in more than 1,400 networks. From about 20:14 to 21:00 UTC the client area (billing, the store, login and ordering) showed a "back shortly" page instead. The homepage stayed up, and our monitoring reached every server that runs your seedboxes and storage boxes the whole time. A flood like this throws traffic at the website; it does not touch your files or your account.

Orders and payments go through normally again. If a page or an order step showed an error during that window, simply try again. If you paid during that window and the invoice still shows unpaid, or no service appeared, open a ticket with the invoice number.

This notice covers what affects you; we are still going through the logs of the attack itself.

Best Regards,
Väinämöinen
