DNS issues has been resolved
Due to .FI domain registry authorities refusing to put up glue records for .FI domains (claiming they do not exist), we have a setup of multiple levels of nameservers. Most of this is hosted at really expensive prices for nameserving, but causes a pyramid situation when there is lots of useless parts that can fail.
This time a domain expired without renewal notices, thanks to a registrar which system's tend to bug. This has been resolved now, and DNS should refresh within several hours and get back to working condition.
I have again contacted the .FI domain registry pushing to get the glue records finally inserted after years of requests. Ficora, the domain authority for .FI has always been a total pain to work with, being overtly bureaucratic. For example, every single domain has their own login details to their system, on top of that separately ISP login details etc and these login details have normal login, plus separate authentication sheet mailed separately. Most people tend to loose those.
In any case, situation of periodic DNS resolution failures should resolve within the next 24hrs.
Sorry for the inconvenience, steps are taken to ensure this does not reoccur and will mean ultimately dropping every attempt to have DNS served from .FI domains if necessary.
P.S. If you have the technical know-how to change nameservers, you can use 95.211.1.20 which is the pulsedmedia primary nameserver. Again, we expect it to be resolved within 24 hours however so if it isn't urgent you can just wait and not make any changes.
