Good news: your seedbox or storage box can now buy more CPU, and a bigger share of the server when it gets busy. Three new extras are on sale now, priced per month. Add one to the service you already have, or pick it when you order.

Extra CPU threads

Raises your account's CPU limit by 2, 4 or 6 threads, for €3.99, €6.99 or €9.99 a month. Useful when you transcode video, or run several heavy jobs at the same time. It shows only on plans that have a CPU limit; a plan with no limit has nothing to raise. A higher limit can only use cores the server has free, and even an old sage cannot sing new cores into a machine. Our servers run from 4 cores up to 32, so run nproc over SSH first to see what yours has.

CPU priority

When the server is busy, your programs get a larger share of its CPU time: +100 to +400 on top of your plan's own priority, from €0.99 to €3.99 a month. On a quiet server everyone already gets what they ask for, so this one pays off at peak hours, when your unpacking and streaming compete with everyone else's.

Disk IO priority

The same idea for the disks. When they are busy, your reads and writes get a larger share of disk time: +100 to +400, at €9.99, €24.99, €49.99 or €99.99 a month (Dragon-R plans go up to +300). It helps if you run many active torrents or stream at busy hours. Every account on the server shares that disk time, so this one is priced high on purpose.

Storage boxes

A storage box is sold for space rather than speed, so its performance extras cost double: threads from €7.99, CPU priority from €1.99 and disk IO priority from €19.99 a month.

How to add them

New orders show the extras on the order page. For a service you already have, use the Upgrade Options link in your seedbox control panel, or open the service in the client area. You pay only for what is left of the current billing period, and the change reaches your server within a few minutes. Remove an extra the same way when you no longer need it. Prices are the same per month on every billing cycle, shown here in euros; the order page shows your own currency.

If you pay by PayPal automatic payment: adding or removing an extra ends that automatic payment, and your renewals then come as invoices to pay.
