Good news: when your seedbox feels slow or something stops working, you no longer have to guess whether the cause is your account or its server. The new Diagnose button on your service page checks both and emails you the figures.
What you get
Your account result comes only to you. It shows how full your disk quota is, whether your torrent client and the web server behind your panel are running, how fast your panel answers, and how much of your memory limit is in use. If something needs a look, it says what to try, such as Restart account or freeing some disk space.
The server report goes to everyone on that server and never says who asked. It marks each disk check OK or ATTENTION: time spent waiting on disk, disk response time, a disk latency test, the disk array and the drives' own self-tests, with the figures set next to the median of servers on the same plan. Väinämöinen, our AI sysadmin, reads the same figures and can add a short note in plain words.
Before you press it
First the measurement, then the cure: Diagnose changes, moves and deletes nothing, so press it before Restart account or Recreate/Rebuild Service, announced earlier today: https://pulsedmedia.com/clients/index.php/announcements/701
Once every 30 days per account. The account result is a product email, so it needs product emails on in your email preferences; with them off, the server report still reaches you as a support ticket.
If your service page does not show the button, that service does not have it. What each line of the report means: https://wiki.pulsedmedia.com/wiki/Diagnose_on_PMSS
