If you have run our one-command media-stack installer lately — the one that sets up Jellyfin alongside Sonarr, Radarr, Prowlarr and the rest — and it stopped without a word right after "Resolving latest versions...", that silent halt is fixed.
The cause was small with an outsized effect. Jellyfin changed the shape of its version number, from three parts like 10.9.11 to two like 12.1, and our installer was still looking for the old three-part shape. Finding no match, it gave up before installing anything — quietly, which made it a puzzle to diagnose. We taught it to accept both shapes, and to speak up with a clear message instead of exiting in silence if it ever cannot find a build again.
The fix is in the platform now and reaches each server through its normal updates, so it arrives as your server catches up rather than everywhere at once. If a recent media-stack setup stopped silently for you, that was why.
There has been other steady work on the media stack this past month too: the *arr apps now configure their own login during setup, their built-in self-updater is kept from breaking the shared runtime they rely on, and each app reports whether its login is in place.
A few parts of the setup can still be rough, so if you build the media stack and something does not come up right, open a ticket — a good report is half the fix. Otherwise, there is nothing you need to do.
