PDS14 setups will take atleast several weeks right now, and the amount of backorders is only estimated to grow over time.
Things are still so much work in progress that we cannot setup new machines any faster :( We already maxed out parts of the infrastructure and have to beef it up before new machines can be setup. That is going to happen sometime during next week by all likelyhood.
I think we get new storage nodes up & running by end of next week, it'll take several days of building, testing etc. before that is ready, and then we will put online a lot of servers each day.
We have currently such a great demand that this situation will remain for months to come by all likelyhood, we got more than 60 servers on backorders alone right now, and we need for our own needs a total of 300+ servers, it's likely we setup these on 80:20 ratio, 80% customer dedicated orders, 20% of our own.
A lot of development remains to be done on the management backend as well, remote reboot code is still largely done, identifying nodes and their image counterparts, managing the network storage etc. all needs a lot more effort put in.
We only got a handful of customer dedis operating right now, and this has given valuable feedback on where to improve our infrastructure, and the most important bits has been developed now in regards of building new servers.
