Big PMSS Update is coming

Next PMSS update will do some major, long overdue refactorings in key parts.

If you have your own server utilizing PMSS there is several things you need to keep an eye out for:
Cron jobs are all together changed and this may result your cron jobs being overwritten during the update, so please setup your custom crons to /etc/cron.d directory.

If it is an OVH server with Debian 6 your kernel will get swapped to Squeeze repo kernel as not all features works with OVH kernel. You can change it back by editing /etc/default/grub and setting default to 0 and then executing update-grub. If repo kernel is present no changes to grub will be made.

Some major backend upgrades are present in terms of logging and ensuring quality of service.

NOTE: This update has not yet been released - this will happen soon. For Pulsed Media series a usual type of rolling update will be done.

As usual, you can see the full changelog at: http://wiki.pulsedmedia.com/index.php/PM_Software_Stack
