Q: Is my surfing safe with the OpenVPN?
A: Yes, encrypted from your computer to our server, before leaving to open wild web.
Q: What information do you store about my surfing?
A: Absolutely nothing. We don't even use an DNS cache, all system records are the certificates created.
Q: Can i connect from my windows/mac?
A: Yes! From any platform where OpenVPN is supported, this includes Windows and Mac OSX.
Q: Is it hard to setup?
A: No! With our instructions (windows only) it should be a breeze. For Mac OS X and Linux there is a lot of tutorials available.
Q: How fast is it?
A: Due to encryption there is some overhead, also atleast on Windows the TUN interface maximum speed is 10Mbps. We were able to reach 7-8Mbps downspeeds on our own testing, and peculiarly sometimes way higher upload speeds than the other end connection (ADSL 24/1), upto 3Mbps, we suspect this is something to do with compression that upload speeds peaked at way higher than supposed to. Usually we reached 0.5-0.7Mbps upstream aswell. So, it definitely is not as fast as direct connection, but it does route likely to very far away, and offers the total anonymity from your ISP, avoidance of all throttling and traffic shaping which doesn't target encrypted traffic in general.
